Photoshop World 2006 Las Vegas
July 19th, 2006I am very excited to be able to attend this year’s Photoshop World conference in Las Vegas.
This is basically ‘the’ conference if you are associated with Photoshop as a designer or a photographer.
If you have read some of my other posts about my skills, you will see that though I have a varied set of skills, I really wanted to boost up my skills in design and software related to design - like Photoshop - this year as one of my major goals and attending this conference was one aspect of improving myself.
This begs the question. Are you out to improve yourself - every day, every week, every month, every year? You should always be looking to improve the skills that you do have or expand on your skill set in some way.
I have always enjoyed the design aspect of creating a web site but I have found that recently more of my time has been spent on coding and marketing rather than design.
Back to the conference - here are some of the workshops that I am going to be attending:
Mastering Smart Objects
Photoshop Finishing Touches
Photoshop for Geeks
The Art of Typography
Power Hour for Graphic Designers
This is just a sample of the workshops that I am excited about attending.
Are you a designer? If so, you should consider attending this event.
Money a factor? Possibly, I know that it would be harder to attend if I were just starting out, so mark your calendars now and be checking back here for some killer tips that I will share from things that I learn while at the event.
Take a look at the Photoshop World web site for more information. I hope you will consider attending, but if you cannot, keep an eye out here for updates.
