So what’s the problem?
July 14th, 2006I got an email today from Joel Comm and the basic idea of the email was regarding motivation to ‘get going’ on ideas you have to make money on the web.
As Joel says, “Those who are doing it… are doing it.”
This really hit home to me as I have been making money online for a while now, but it seems like for last 2-3 months or so, my income has levelled off.
Why is that? One reason, I have just stopped getting things done.
I am sure not being lazy, I work a full-time job and then also work a few hours each night. But I have found my time to be less productive over the last couple of months.
So what have I done to correct the problem?
1) Make a list of items that you want to accomplish either that day or that week (or both)
2) Brainstorm at least once a week about new ideas that you would like to try out
3) Find a way to keep the web sites that you do have moving forward so that the traffic will continue to increase and thus so should your income.
A good example of #3 is what I have done with one of my web sites - http://www.itsfunnyhoney.com - I have owned this site for a few months now and haven’t really added any new features to the site (except for content). So I worked a couple of hours this past week and developed a ‘Galleries’ where I put in random galleries of celebrities/musicians/etc. What has this done? It has increased traffic some, which has been nice. But it also will give me some more features to list when or if I ever decide to sell the site.
I have a list of items that I am working on for tonight - how about you?
Remember - Those who are doing it… are doing it….now get out and do it!

Good ideas here.
Especially about adding new features to websites that you have bought.
You have motivated me to get some of that list of items done….thanks!
